I am a North Carolina lawyer, with education in computer engineering and industrial design. I have worked as a custom picture framer, a tutor, a busboy, a researcher, a judge’s clerk, a disability lawyer, a computer technician intern, and a web programmer.
I currently count myself among the (depending on the week) unemployed or underemployed. Like most people, I have struggled with credit card bills, student loans, minor traffic tickets, social services, local government, taxes, home buying, simple estate planning, and child raising.
My mission here is to learn more about my world, try to understand it with the help of my own experiences and skills, and have a conversation with others about what I find out.
My goal is simple: if you can say that you can live your life a little better, with the help of something you found here, then this little experiment has been a success.
